About SIHM Manipur

Nestled in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, the state of Manipur is considered the Gateway to South East Asia. The ecstatic beauty of the state leaves every traveller spellbound, which even made Jawaharlal Nehru once describe the state as the ‘Land of Jewels’. The state is a promising tourist destination for adventure and nature lovers alike. Sprawling across 5.1 acres of land in the picturesque valley of the capital city Imphal, located in the eastern part of the city, the SIHM Manipur campus harbours state-of-the-art infrastructure of international standards. Created with a vision to impart world-class hospitality training, SIHM Manipur will host a range of courses in both Diploma and Degree levels to make students compete in the international diaspora. With this project in Manipur, the department has shown its intention to leverage its human capital through advanced sectoral training of international standards and promote tourism. It’s going to be one of the 21 central Institutes under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India. The Institute offers Diploma, Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Hotel & Hospitality Administration with Specialization in various subjects like Food & Beverage; Hotel & Hospitality; Human Resource; Travel & Tourism; Hotel and Hospitality; Culinary Arts & Catering Technology; Food Production Operations; Housekeeping; Bakery & Confectionery; Front Office Operations; Hotel & Hospitality; Sales & Marketing.
