The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Imphal (Manipur) (referred to as the 'Institute') is managed by a Governing Body (also referred to as the Board of Governors).

Registration Details

The Society for the Management of the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Imphal (Manipur) is a registered entity under the Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989 (Manipur Act No. I of 1990). It bears the registration number  and was registered on the 18th day of February, 2014. The registered office of the Society is situated at Imphal, Manipur.

Role of the Governing Body

The Governing Body is entrusted with the overall administration and management of the Institute. Its key functions include:

  • Establishing and carrying on the administration and management of the Institute.
  • Providing instructions and training in all crafts, skills, and knowledge, both theoretical and applied, required for the efficient functioning of hotel and catering establishments.
  • Prescribing courses of instruction, holding examinations, and granting diplomas, degrees, or other awards.
  • Maintaining and depositing all moneys credited to the Fund, drawing, making, accepting, and endorsing negotiable instruments.
  • Acquiring, holding, and disposing of property.
  • Making and amending rules and bylaws for the conduct of the affairs of the Institute and Society.
